Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - The kindergarten from the Sireti village, central Straseni district, has been renovated with the support of Japan, within the Kusanone Programme.

At a ceremony on the finishing of the Project on the improvement of the education environment at the kindergarten No 1, Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro stressed that ‘’kindergartens are places where children, for the first time, took knowledge about the society outside their family. Their impact on children’s development is long-lasting. Japan helps schools and kindergartens from all over the world, in order to be maintained in good conditions through small grants. I am happy that such a project was implemented in your kindergarten,’’ the official said.
The project contributed to the creation of the best conditions of education for 130 children, 28 educators and technical staff of the kindergarten.
The Kusanone programme of grants for human security was launched in Moldova in 2008. So far, Japan has provided non-refundable financing worth 6.8 million dollars for 81 projects in the education, health and public utility sectors.
