Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a phone conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu. The officials discussed domestic policy developments in Moldova, the government’s reshufflings taking place in the country, as well as the subsequent developments, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„I explained the Estonian minister that it was a planned transition from one pro-European government to another one and that this is a process of preparation for a while, in order to strengthen our country’s security and resilience against the background of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine.
The new team, along with Prime Minister Dorin Recean, will continue focusing on the same priority goals: accession to the European Union, systemic reforms demanded by the citizens, as well as on Moldova’s contribution to the regional stability,’’ acting Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu said.
