Moldova, Ireland to speed up negotiations on more social agreements

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with Bucharest-based Ambassador of Ireland to Moldova Paul McGarry, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions were focused on the bilateral agenda, as well as the support provided by the Dublin authorities within the Moldovan-European Union dialogue.
„In the context of giving Moldova the status of state candidate for the European Union, we rely on the Irish experience and expertise in more sectoral fields, such as agriculture, health, investments,’’ the parliament speaker said.
The officials referred also to the community of Moldovans from Ireland. The parliament speaker stressed the importance of speeding up the negotiations on more social agreements, which will help the Moldovan citizens.
Also, Igor Grosu and the Irish ambassador discussed a visit the parliament speaker is to pay to Ireland, at an invitation by his counterpart Seán Ó Fearghaíl.
