Aqueduct networks built or rehabilitated in 15 localities in country through European Village program

Chisinau, February 15 /MOLDPRES/ - About 23 thousand citizens from 15 localities of Moldova have access to drinking water, after aqueduct networks were built or rehabilitated. The projects are part of the European Village Program. Their value exceeds 41 million lei (over 2 million euros).
152 projects included in the European Village Program, out of the total of 495 with accepted financing, aim to ensure access to water and sanitation.
One of the ongoing projects is the one in Văscăuti village, Florești district. The aqueduct construction works are taking place in the locality, and in the near future, more than 150 households and the main public institutions will be connected to the water supply network. The costs of the project amount to 7 million lei, money allocated from the National Regional and Local Development Fund.
The European Village program includes over 490 local development projects, with a total value of around two billion lei, in 2022 - 2023. According to the progress report, presented by the National Regional and Local Development Office (ONDRL), so far 78 projects have been completed and another 306 are ongoing.
