Speaker meets Moldovan community in Ireland

Chisinau, February 28 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu met yesterday evening in Dublin with representatives of the Moldovan community who live, work or study in Ireland, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
They approached the situation in Moldova, the crises our country is facing, especially those caused by Russia's war in Ukraine. "The most important thing we have achieved is that being solidary and united we have kept the peace. We are determined to carry out the reforms to the end, and for our citizens to be part of the great European family", he said.
Grosu was impressed by the large number of people who came to the meeting, by the good and useful discussions. "I saw a united diaspora, involved in the events organized by our Embassy in Dublin. And this time, I was convinced that our Moldovans, even if they are far from home, families, relatives, continue to be connected to everything that happens at home", he said.
Grosu pays an official visit to Ireland on 27 February -1 March at the invitation of his Irish counterpart. The delegation also includes MPs Radu Marian, Ion Șpac, Victor Spînu and Veaceslav Nigai.
