Ryanair air company might launch flights from, to Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, on an official visit to Dublin, has had a working meeting with representatives of the Ryanair air company. Along with Ryanair Commercial Director Jason McGuinness and Ryanair Director of Route Development Raymond Kelliher, the officials discussed the Irish operator’s possibility to launch flights from and to Moldova, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The parliament speaker informed the company’s representatives that Moldova had made significant progress in all sectors following a discussion between Ryanair representatives and the former minister, Andrei Spinu on 11 November 2022. Igor Grosu also told the company’s representatives about the procedures enforced by the Moldovan competent authorities, in order to ensure a proper level of the aviation safety and security. The speaker noted that, according to an analysis of all risks, the flights can be made in safety in Moldova’s air space.
The parliament speaker assured the Ryanair representatives that Moldova’s authorities were opened to provide every needed conditions to come to Chisinau. ‘’I wanted very much us to have this discussion and I hope that we will have the first results as soon as possible,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said in the end of the discussions.
