Most exports from Transnistrian region go to EU, according to study

Chisinau, March 21. /MOLDPRES/- In 2022, most of the exports from the Transnistrian region were made to European Union countries.
An analysis presented yesterday by the EU Delegation to Moldova reads that last year, the turnover of the region in terms of exports represented 67.1%, which means a 10.2% increase compared to the previous year.
"At the same time, the share of EU goods imports in the Transnistrian region also increased from 45.7% in 2021 to 50.1% in 2022," according to the cited source.
The first five countries in the European Union that account for over 80% of the exports and imports of companies from the Transnistrian region are Romania, Poland, Italy, Germany and Slovakia.
