Over 60 per cent of Moldovan settlements have access to water supply

Chisinau, March 22. /MOLDPRES/- Last year, 918 localities had access to public water supply systems, including 54 municipalities and cities and 864 rural localities, which is over 60% of the country's localities. The data were made public by the National Agency for Public Health in the context of World Water Day.

The number of people connected to the public water supply service is 2.2 million people, which represents 85% of the country's population. 98% of the population living in urban areas and 68.8% of the rural population have access to public water supply systems.
