Changes in selection, dismissal of director of National Vine and Wine Office approved today

Chisinau, March 22 /MOLDPRES/- The head of the National Vine and Wine Office will get the vote of confidence from all the winemakers and winegrowers in the country, which will ensure greater credibility and efficiency in the interaction of the Office - the private sector. The executive has changed the procedure for selecting and releasing the ONVV director, in order to reduce the influence of the state in the decision-making process of the Coordination Council and increase the role of associations in the sector, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, in the process of electing the director, the representatives of the private sector will hold 6 votes, and one vote will belong to the representative of the public sector. Also, early termination of the mandate, as well as dismissal of the director, will be possible with the positive opinion of the Coordination Council.
Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea emphasized that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry promotes the cooperation of producers in the management of agricultural businesses. At the same time, he noted that in the wine countries, the entities that manage the wine industry operate according to the principle of public-private partnership, and the role of the state is to develop policies and create favorable conditions for business.
