Moldovan PM attends annual Culture Awards Gala

Chisinau, March 28 /MOLDPRES/- Annual Culture Awards Gala, the 2022 edition, has nominated laureates - personalities who have contributed to the development of national culture and the promotion of local artistic creations, both in the Republic of Moldova and at the international level. Attending the event, Prime Minister Dorin Recean appreciated the work of those who have a significant contribution to the cultural heritage, and pointed out the importance of creative and cultural industries that can become powerful engines of the economy, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"Culture and people who promote it play a significant role in our social resilience. That is why I urge you to work together to have a culture as rich as possible, which would create an environment conducive to the development of our society. Beyond the fact that it creates our identity and makes us richer, culture helps us resist threats and negative influences from the outside," said Recean. At the same time, he thanked the external partners who contribute to the development of culture in the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing the support of Romania, the member states of the European Union, the United States of America and other partners.
Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan said that the awarded prizes represent the appreciation of the efforts to promote the Romanian cultural space. "Investment in the field of culture is the most promising investment, because only an educated society can create well-being in its country", said Prodan.
Romanian Minister of Culture Lucian Romașcanu expressed his country's openness to further support joint cultural projects with the Republic of Moldova and called on all those who can contribute to the financial support of the field.
During the tenth edition of the annual Awards Gala in Culture, 34 people were awarded in 14 categories. The list of winners of the 2022 cultural awards can be followed on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
