Traffic accident with involvement of trolley bus occurs in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - An accident with the involvement of a trolley bus on the route No 5 and a Toyota touring car occurred on the Muncesti Street from the Moldovan capital today morning.   

The press officer of the Chisinau Police Department, Svetlana Scripnic, has told MOLDPRES that the accident took place on the Muncesti Street at 7:52. In the wake of the impact, the driver and passenger of Toyota, as well as the conductor of the trolley bus were injured; they were taken over by an ambulance and carried to the Emergency Hospital.    

”Depending on the seriousness of the victims’ injuries, the driver due to be found guilty following the inquiry is to be sanctioned under the legislation,’’ the police representative said.  

The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, said that rescuers had extricated two persons from the Toyota vehicle, one of whom in serious conditions and another one with fractures.  

Another trolley bus has been recently involved in a traffic accident, in the wake of which a 12-year-old girl died.
