Chisinau, April 6 /MOLDPRES/-  Environment Agency's order on setting periods and areas of fishing ban in the natural aquatic objectives for 2023 was published in the Official Journal today.

Under the document, fishing is prohibited for 67 consecutive days, from April 10 to June 15, 2023 inclusively: in the Dniester river in the sector from the village of Naslavcea to the town of Camenca; in the Dubăsari reservoir; in the Dniester river in the sectors from the Dubăsari Hydroelectric Power Plant dam to Palanca village (km 28) and in the Turunciuc branch; in Lake Cahul.

Fishing is also prohibited for 60 consecutive days, from April 9 to June 7, 2023 inclusively: in the Prut River from its intersection with the northern border of the Republic of Moldova with Ukraine to the village of Teţcani; in the Costeşti-Stânca reservoir; in the Prut river on the sector from the dam of the Costeşti-Stânca hydrotechnical node to the village of Giurgiulesti.

According to the order, fishing is prohibited for 82 consecutive days, in the period from April 10 to June 30, 2023 inclusively: on the rivers Ciorna, Răut, Ichel, Bâc and Botna, tributaries of the Dniester River, with the exception of the artificial fish ponds built on they; on Larga, Vilia, Lopatnic, Racovaţ, Ciuhur, Camenca, Gârla Mare, Delia, Nârnova, Lăpuşna, Sarata, Tigheci rivers, with the exception of the artificial fish ponds built on them; in Manta, on Cogîlnic, Cahul, Ialpug rivers, with the exception of the artificial water objectives built on them.

Non-compliance with the provisions of the order attracts liability in accordance with the legislation, however, the amount of compensation varies between 1,500 and 15,000 lei.
