Romania, Moldova to back increase in tourist exchanges, mutual promotion

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - Romania and Moldova will support the increase in tourist exchanges and mutual promotion. An event on the official launch of a joint working group of tourism experts from the two countries took place today.
According to Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau, the action was organized with the support of the Romanian Embassy’s Bureau of Commercial and Economic Promotion and took place before the official opening of a specialty exhibition, Tourism & Travel Expo, in Chisinau, in which Romania participates with a national pavilion.
Romanian Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism Constantin-Daniel Cadariu and Culture Minister of Moldova Sergiu Prodan took part in the event.
The agreement between the governments of Romania and Moldova, aimed at developing a close cooperation between the official tourism bodies, is at the basis of the working group’s creation. One of the goals of the agreement is to increase the tourist exchanges and the mutual promotion, including through the exchange of advertising materials and information.
The setting up of the working group represents the first stage till the organization of the joint inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation Romania-Moldova.
