Moldovan president says group of thieves, paid with dirty money, sets plan to block Moldova's European way

Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ - A group of thieves, paid with dirty money, has set the plan to block the European way of Moldova. The same personages kept Moldova blocked in poverty and corruption and now they attack it, poisoning people’s souls by quarrel and division. The Moldovan president made statements to this effect in a speech to the citizens today. She urged them to participate in the National Assembly European Moldova on 21 May, which will be held on the Great National Assembly Square.    

The Moldovan president said that dirty money was coming to Moldova and attempts to destabilize the situation are financed with it. ‘’There are mindless people in Moldova, who look at what happens in Ukraine and are happy with the crimes from there. Who see the horrors in Bakhmut, Bucha, Mariupol, Kherson and say that their people are near. These people, who betrayed their country, are now ready to see the villages and cities to be demolished, only for them to be able to return to power. They are ready to see their home hit by bombs, only for them to steal billions. A group of thieves, paid with dirty money, has set the plan to block our European way, our way towards peace and well-being. The same people kept Moldova blocked in poverty and corruption and now they attack, poisoning the people’s souls through quarrel and division. The same dirty money corrupts diverse people, in order not to allow the cleaning of the justice. It seems, from aside, that these groups, which want to steal our freedom, which want to block our future, which want to destroy our peace and good understanding, shout louder than the people’s voice is heard. Hundreds of thousands of people look at how several corrupt people plan to steal the future of our children,’’ Maia Sandu said.           

The head of state also said that Europe and the entire world were keeping an eye on us now.  „Many people have a wrong impression that Moldova’s citizens look at what is happening with indifference. Many people erroneously believe that our country’s citizens are indifferent and do not take attitude. Some people still wonder whether our people really want the accession to the European Union. I suggest that we answer them, I urge you to manifest as people. The clear-cut decision to be part of the European family, based on respect, stability and economic cooperation. I urge you to show that the only master of this land is the people. I urge you to explain to those who still have doubts that the decisions on Moldova’s future are taken in Moldova. Time is ripe for the Moldovans to show that we are a resolute people, a people master in its home, a people which can defend with its chin up the democracy, peace and communities. I think that time is ripe that those who keep an eye on us, both from the East and from the Vest, should see that we are united and courageous in the decisive moments for our destiny. I inform you that I had launched the initiative to summon an assembly of citizens in Chisinau, during which ‘’we should say to the world that we are Europeans and this is the way we have chosen.’ Let us give an answer to those who wonder what the Moldovans want? A clear-cut answer. Our voice, of many people, the voice of our people, should be heard. The National Assembly European Moldova will be organized on the Great National Assembly Square on 21 May. The voice of each one will consolidate our European way,’’ Maia Sandu added.
