Chisinau, April 11 /MOLDPRES/- During Easter holidays, the Border Police together with the Customs Service will apply a set of additional measures to help streamline the flow of passengers, means of transport and goods.
Thus, the institutions will supplement the number of employees involved in border control. They will be provided with special control technique. At the same time, the opportunities offered by the infrastructure of the border crossing points will be used to their maximum capacity. Depending on the need, the REVERSE procedure will be applied, which involves redirecting traffic to the available lanes from the opposite direction of travel.
At the same time, the interoperability of the databases and the mutual exchange of information on flow of passengers and means of transport will be ensured, including continuous communication with counterparts from neighboring countries, and with other responsible authorities at the border.
Also, the Call Center of the Border Police +373 259 717 will be available non-stop.
The Customs Service and the Border Police recommend travelers to be patient with the existing procedures when crossing the border, and to diversify the choice of crossing points, so as not to overload only some of them. Online traffic applications on the websites of the Border Police and the Customs Service are useful, where the situation when crossing the state border can be followed in real time.
