Moldovan president, culture people discuss European Moldova Assembly due on 21 May

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met a group of artists, writers and actors, with whom she discussed their concerns about the situation in the culture sector, the presidential press service has reported.
At the same time, the participants in the meeting discussed the role of the art people for the cohesion of the society, noting that namely these people had guided the nation in crucial times. Now, Moldova is in the situation when it must clearly prove that it wants to be part of the free world. The European Union is the only chance for us to remain an independent and democratic state. In the context, the head of state noted that the European Moldova Assembly, due 21 May, represented a good occasion for the Moldovan citizens to clearly say that they want a safe and prosperous life at home.
In the end, President Maia Sandu thanked those present for the assiduous work for the development of culture and urged them to contribute, through their actions, to the process of Moldova’s Europeanization.
