Over 30 Russian citizens, among whom one Russian mercenary, denied entry to Moldova

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 34 foreign citizens have been denied entry to Moldova in the last 24 hours. A Russian mercenary was among these people who got entry ban.

According to the Border Police, a citizen of Russia, identified as mercenary of the Пятнашка” international brigade, was detected. The foreigner was discovered in the flow of passengers at the Chisinau International Airport. He intended to go to Ukraine by transiting Moldova. The person was not allowed to cross the state border and following the measures of filtering established, the concerned person was sent back to the country of departure.

To exclude the security risks, in the context of the emergency state in Moldova, as well as of the war started by Russia against Ukraine, security protocols are enforced at all border crossing points, which implies the supplementing of the border crossing control for passengers, especially for foreign citizens.
