Bulboaca settlement of Moldova prepares for meeting European officials at Summit of European Political Community

Chisinau, 16 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Summit of the European Political Community, scheduled for 1 June, is the biggest international event hosted by Moldova. In Bulboaca, the settlement where those 50 European leaders will hold discussions, the arrangement works are in full swing.    

People say that the Summit is a reason for national pride for the Moldovans. From the north, to the centre and then up to the southern region, the people are looking forward to the big event. In Bulboaca, residents plant trees, flowers, clean in yards and repair fences. The Bulboaca mayor, Ion Berzoi, says that more works are to be carried out in the village till 1 June. ‘’Plates were set at all entrances to Bulboaca, we have modern stations, roads, pavement; we must change also the fence outside the mayoralty. We are working, we have much to do till 1 June. We work also in week-end, as we realize that this is an important event for us and everybody understands this,’’ the mayor said.       

The roads’ rehabilitation goes beyond the borders of the village which will host the great event. The works are carried out on about 30 km of the Chisinau-Tiraspol highway, Floresti-Anenii Noi and Bulboaca-Delacau. Thus, the hosting by Moldova of the Summit of the European Political Community will contribute to the country’s development, both for short- and long term.    

Moldova is host of the Summit of the European Political Community, which will be held on 1 June 2023. It will bring together 50 presidents, prime ministers and high-ranking European officials. The summit will take place at the Mimi Castle from Bulboaca village, central Anenii Noi district, placed at a distance of about 35 km from Chisinau.   

The European Political Community is a pan-European governmental forum, founded last year, following Russia’s invasion in Ukraine. It serves as a platform, which includes the European leaders, in order to discuss and identify solutions to the most urgent problems of Europe, such as the security, stability and energy resilience.
