Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The farmers from the southern Taraclia district plan to get a twice richer harvest against the last year. Statements to this effect were made at a 9 June working visit to this settlement by the state secretary of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA), Iurie Scripnic, along with a PhD from the Institute of Biotechnologies in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Petru Liutcanov.
According to the local public authorities from Taraclia, about 70 percent of the areas sowed with field crops are in a satisfactory and very good condition.
"A string of measures was prepared, in order to cut the production cost. The excise duty on the diesel used in agricultural activities will be reimbursed and we will subsidize the cost of the phyto-sanitary products and fertilizers. Moreover, earlier this week, we signed a financing project worth 55 million dollars. The money will be invested mostly in the animal husbandry sector and in the rehabilitation of irrigation systems,’’ Iurie Scripnic told farmers from Taraclia.
In 2022, the farmers from this district submitted over 220 applications on the accessing of subsidies. More than 50 per cent of the applications have been authorized so far, with about 25 million lei disbursed on farmers’ accounts.
