Moldova's Action and Solidarity Party summons National Political Council

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The National Political Council of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) today convened at a meeting, in order to assess the work carried out on the last period and map out the further programmes.   

“The 2023 year is an irreversible year, when we must advance on the way chosen, the European way. A great effort is needed, in order to edify the European Union at home,’’ according to a declaration by the governing party.   

Also, the 2023 year is the one of local elections or PAS is set to consolidate its team for this ballot – Team Europe, which will focus on the advancement of local and regional projects with European support, so that the citizens understand that the European Union is the best option for Moldova.    

„PAS will work to bring Moldova to the European Union and will support the efforts of President Maia Sandu, whose reliability set Moldova among the free and strong countries of the world; the Team Europe of PAS mayors will act unitarily, in order to carry out our country project – European Moldova. The PAS mayors will work to bring the European Union in each settlement of Moldova; We will coopt competent, integral people from all sectors, in order to improve the quality of the central and local administration,’’ reads the declaration of the National Political Council of the Action and Solidarity Party.    

“We will succeed only by keeping the unity and working together. We have the duty to make the transformations necessary, so that till 2030, Moldova becomes full-fledged member of EU, as Moldova is European,’’ the declaration also reads.

Presently, PAS has the majority in the Moldovan parliament and has been backing a pro-European and pro-reform governance for two years. Starting from last March, Moldova’s Action and Solidarity Party became associate member of the European People’s Party, being promoted from the status of member observer to the one of associate member of EPP.
