I am convinced together with team we will find solutions to all problems in capital - MP says

Chisinau, June 12. /MOLDPRES/- I am confident that together with the team, we will find solutions to all the problems in the capital. MP Lilian Carp made the statement today. He was announced as a candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for the local elections in Chisinau.

Carp thanked the Chisinau Territorial Organization for accepting intention to run for mayor of the capital. "In the coming weeks, I will start negotiations and public debates on the future electoral program. Chisinau is facing real problems. Together with the team we will find solutions to solve the problem of traffic jams, infrastructure and energy problems. We will give a new breath to our city", he said.

PAS leader Igor Grosu said that the formation will support a fair electoral campaign, will have consultations and meetings with citizens to come up with viable solutions for Chisinau. "We all understand the historical moment we are living in - European integration. That is why the local elections, together with the objective of opening the EU accession negotiations, by the end of this year, are strategic objectives that we must achieve. Chisinau has always been pro-European and the symbol of change. Lilian Carp is a person who has always been consistent, demonstrated verticality and followed the democratic and pro-European path. In recent years, Chisinau has benefited from a cosmetic intervention, but that is not what a European capital needs. We need large-scale investments in infrastructure", said Igor Grosu.

The next local elections in Chisinau should take place thus autumn, given that the last election was held in October 2019 and the mandate of local elected officials is four years. Following the 2019 local elections, Ion Ceban was elected Chisinau mayor.

The day of the next election is to be determined by the Parliament. The electoral campaign will start 60 days before the election date.
