Chisinau, June 12. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Moldova, other partners, launched today the mechanism for compensating the expenses of entrepreneurs involved in dual education.
The mechanism is provided by the Law on dual education, approved last year, and includes the compensation from the state budget of the expenses of economic agents involved in dual education. The value of the compensation could be at most 50 percent of the expenses borne by economic agents for the organization and carrying out dual education.
"The mechanism will be a catalyst in the development of the business environment in our country and will increase the number of students who will work in companies, the number of students who will take over the practical experiences and skills necessary for the labor market. During the last years more than 100 companies have become an integral part of this process. The evolution of dual education contributes to increasing the competitiveness of the national economy. It is very important to realize that in dual education, 70% of the study time is at the company. Here you learn to be part of the collective, to organize yourself, so that you bring added value to the company, to society and, at the same time, to grow within this company. This will offer great perspectives in the Republic of Moldova", CCI president Sergiu Harea said at the event.
According to Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală, at the level of professional technical education, this form of education proved to be very beneficial both for the students and for the future employers of the students.
The mechanism will be implemented by the Ministry of Education and Research, in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development. For this year, ten million lei (500 thousand euros) are provided for this purpose.
Dual education is an alternative form of organizing vocational technical education, which is based on a partnership between vocational technical education institutions, public authorities and economic environment. The vocational technical education institution ensures the theoretical training of the students, necessary for the exercise of the qualification, and the unit/economic agent ensures the practical training of the student. Currently, in the country, there are more than a thousand students enrolled in vocational and technical education institutions in vocational training programs through dual education.
