Moldovan president, Romanian senator discuss security matters

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a meeting with the president of the defence, public order and national security committee of Romania’s Senate, Nicolae Pauliuc.
According to the presidential press service, the discussions were focused on the bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, defence and public order, as well as the domestic situation on Moldova, the hybrid attempts of destabilization and the preparation of the country’s institutions for responding to these challenges.
Romania is a reliable friend of Moldova. President Maia Sandu stressed the importance of the support provided by the Bucharest partners, in order to enhance the country’s defence capacities, including through the donation of military equipment to the National Army. We have an excellent cooperation between ministries, as a result of which Moldova benefits from the organization of joint exercises, as well as from expertise of the Romanian specialists.
In discussions, the head of state repeatedly thanked for every support provided for the good organization of the Summit of the European Political Community.
