EUROPEAN VILLAGE: playground and sports field completed in Burlăceni village, Cahul district

Chisinau, June 13. /MOLDPRES/- A playground and sports field worth about 2 million lei was completed in Burlăceni village, Cahul district. It brings direct benefits for about 500 children from the locality. The project is part of the European Village National Program, the National Office for Regional and Local Development (ONDRL) announced yesterday.

The main objective of the project was to create a safe and modern space that would encourage physical activity and outdoor games, thus contributing to the harmonious development of children and young people in the community.

The new playground and sports field is already a point of attraction in the community of Burlăceni village, offering children and young people a safe and inspiring place to spend their free time. This remarkable achievement was possible thanks to the efforts supported by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, through funding from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

ONDRL director Mihail Croitoru said that the investment is expected to have a positive long-term impact, contributing to the increase of the quality of life of the inhabitants and the formation of healthy and energetic future generations. "Thank you to the entire team that contributed to carrying out this project and to everyone involved in the process. Let's be proud of this achievement and consider it a proof of our ability to create a better future for the next generations", he said.

So far, 123 projects under the European Village Program have been successfully implemented.
