Moldovan government approved Health 2030 strategy

Chisinau, June 14. /MOLDPRES/- The healthcare system in the Republic of Moldova will be modernized so that it meets the needs of all citizens and provides equitable access to the highest quality services. Government has approved the Health 2030 national strategy, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The document sees the complex transformation of the health system and establishes the priority directions of intervention through a series of national programs, which will be carried out until 2030. More precisely, 19 general objectives are established, grouped into seven components.

The development of the Strategy is provided for in the Action Plan of the Government for this year. Also, improving the health status of the population, by building a modernized system, is one of the objectives set in the European Moldova 2030 strategy.

The strategy is also focused on achieving the targets set by the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and will contribute to achieving the commitments assumed in the Association Program between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova.
