Moldovan state budget's revenues, expenses increased by over 1.4 billion lei

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - The revenues and expenses of the state budget for this year have been increased by 1.406 billion lei (70 million euros). The MPs voted a draft on amendment of the state budget for 2023 in the second reading today.   

The amendments regard the increase of the inflows of external grants and their directing to measures of developing the national economy, especially for the supply of the road fund, national fund of regional and local development, national fund of development of agriculture and rural environment and programmes on the support of small- and medium-sized enterprises.  

Respectively, the revenues will grow up to 66.274 billion lei and the expenses - up to 84.602 billion lei. The amendments made in terms of revenues and expenses will not have impact on the state budget’s deficit for this year; decision-makers will make amendments to the structure of the sources of financing of the state budget’s deficit. Thus, the budget deficit stays unchanged against the approved one and will be 18.327 billion lei.    

The most significant increases as to the expenses were registered for services in the economy sector, especially meant for the road fund, as well as the management of dwellings and the one of public utilities. As much as 338 million lei was directed through programmes of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) for backing the small- and medium-sized enterprises, including the 373 programme; 320 million lei was earmarked for increasing the national fund of regional and local development, in order to implement projects within the European Village Programme; 100 million lei was allocated for increasing the national fund for the development of agriculture and rural environment.           

Increases of expenses are envisaged also for the implementation of measures in the fields of culture, sport and youth, education, health.  

At the same time, starting from 1 June, measures of salary policy have been implemented, which are reflected in the draft on amendment of the budget.
