Moldovan MPs amend state social insurances budget

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs voted a draft on the amendment of the state social insurances budget for 2023 in the second reading today. The amendment’s goal is to bring the indexes of revenues and expenses in line with the ones included in the draft law on the amendment of the state budget law for this year.     

Thus, the overall revenues and spending of the state social insurances budget will be diminished by 55 million lei (2.75 million euros) from 38.735 billion euros to 38.68 billion euros.   

Under the document, increases are planned in the sectors, Protection of jobless people and Social protection in exceptional cases, and two million lei is envisaged to be allocated from the state budget for providing the allowance for technical unemployment. Also, transfers are stipulated from the state budget to the budgets of the administrative and territorial units, needed for the payment of salaries to the personal assistants and ensuring a good work of the Personal Assistance Service.  

At the same time, the draft sees technical adjustings in terms of financial backing of the disadvantaged families, through providing social benefit and the benefit for the cold period of the year, with the source of financing these expenses changed.
