Moldovan PM attends festivity dedicated to Civil Servant's Day

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 150 civil servants were awarded Honorary Diplomas of the government at a festivity dedicated to the Civil Servant’s Day, held at the Palace of the Republic today. Attending the event were Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the head of the parliament’s commission for public administration, Larisa Voloh, Government’s Secretary General Artur Mija, representatives of the central and local public authorities, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In his speech, the PM thanked the civil servants for the work carried out for the benefit of the citizens and contribution to the process of Moldova’s European integration.
„I congratulate all employees of the public system who are in charge of establishing what is happening to each citizen of this country. The good work of our state depends on your, dear colleagues. All people of this country, who want to live as in Europe, are behind you. This is the strategic goal expressed by President Maia Sandu and which we should make reality.
I want to thank on behalf of all citizens for you coping with these challenges; you are always on duty, so that Moldova becomes a modern, developed state, with a strong economy and satisfied people,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
The head of the parliament’s commission for public administration, Larisa Voloh, stressed that the public service from Moldova can cope with the crises, adapt to citizens’ expectations, so that it meets the people’s needs and surely and quickly. ‘’You are the ones who ensure the safety and well-being of our people. This pact, signed between the civil servants and the citizens, is based on solidarity, cohesion and mutual help,’’ Larisa Voloh noted.
Government’s Secretary General Artur Mija said that the success of the European integration consisted in the consolidation of the efforts between the central and local public authorities, optimization and de-bureaucratization of the labour processes. The head of the State Chancellery appreciated the work of the civil servants and wished them success in their activity.
„Your work is a complicated one, anonymous most often, but one which should be appreciated or you are those who move things forward. I am sure that, due to your professionalism and experience, we will manage to edify a public administration with more care for the citizens and support for the business people. I urge you that we create a united team, align the objectives and cooperate for the carrying out of our country project – integration into the European Union till 2030,’’ Artur Mija said.
A string of public events took place at the government this week, in order to familiarize young people with the specific character of the public office, as well as to promote the interaction and cooperation of employees at the public institutions.
