Yellow Code of fire danger extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) today extended the Yellow Code of fire danger. It will be valid all over Moldova till 5 July.

According to meteorologists, an exceptional fire danger (class v) with natural character is expected and in the southern region and will be maintained in the northern and central regions of Moldova on 27 June -5 July.

In the context of the issuance of the warning, rescuers and firemen urge residents to avoid the use of open fire nearby dwellings, annexes to households and fodder deposits, on grounds covered by dry vegetation, especially when they are placed nearby forests, plantations and objects with high risk of fire.

Air temperatures of up to +31 Celsius degrees during the day and +16 degrees at night are forecast for the days to come.
