Patent holders to get compensation of up to 10 thousand lei for transition to independent activity

Chisinau, June 27. /MOLDPRES/- Patent holders will be able to benefit from a support amounting to up to 10 thousand lei (500 euros) from the state to compensate for the expenses of transition to independent activity. Applications for obtaining compensation can be submitted from July 1 to  August 30.

From this money, the patent holders will be able to purchase home appliances, which will be mandatory with the transition to a new form of activity, and they will be able to purchase everything they need to set up the place of activity.

"When you go from patent to self-employment, your expenses are compensated. The Government of the Republic of Moldova supports traders, compensating the costs of purchasing the home and control device, as well as other investments for the reuse of the workplace, in the amount of up to 10,000 lei, through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA)", Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization said.

Lidia Cherdivară, head of the Department of the ODA, said that requests for compensation can be submitted online on www.oda.md, or at the territorial subdivisions of the State Fiscal Service (SFS). Compensation will be made within 30 days of accepting the request. Its amount will be up to 10 thousand lei and will be established based on the confirmatory documents submitted by the applicants.

Persons who were patent holders until December 31, 2022 and who subsequently registered with the SFS as private people carrying out independent activities will be able to benefit from compensation. Compensations are granted for expenses incurred starting from January 1, 2023.

Several patent holders do not agree with the reform proposed by the authorities and have previously organized protests, being particularly dissatisfied with the obligation to own a cash register and control device.
