Moldovan Energy Regulatory Agency approves lowers tariffs for thermal energy

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - The consumers will pay less for heating. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today approved lower tariffs for the thermal energy delivered to citizens by the Termoelectrica company and the Thermal Power Station – Nord (CET- Nord).
Thus, the consumers from Chisinau will pay 3,267 lei for one Gcal, down by 310 lei then at present. At the same time, the tariff for electric energy produced by Termoelectrica increased by 0.05 lei or by 1 per cent, from 3.93 lei/kWh up to 3.98 lei/kWh.
As for the consumers served by CET-Nord, the tariff for heating was cut by 344 lei for one Gcal or by 9 per cent. Thus, they will pay 3,561 lei for one Gcal. At the same time, the price for the electric energy produced by the heating plants of the CET-Nord stock company was established at 4.66 lei/kWh (without value added tax), which is by 1.45 lei less than at present, of by 24 per cent.
The decisions will enter into force on the date of their publication in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
