Moldovan diplomat meets prime minister of Luxembourg

Chisinau, June 28. /MOLDPRES/- Together with Secretary General of the Government Artur Mija, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a meeting with Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel. They discussed the European path of the Republic of Moldova and significant progress in the implementation of the nine recommendations of the European Commission, the MAEIE press service has reported.

We are fully committed to continue our efforts to initiate accession negotiations by the end of this year, said Nicu Popescu.

At the same time, the Moldovan official thanked Xavier Bettel for participation in the second edition of the European Political Community Summit.

We also discussed the positive development of bilateral dialogue and the intensification of trade and investment relations. I thanked the Prime Minister of Luxembourg for the continuous assistance in consolidating democracy, supporting the sustainable development and economic growth of our country", Popescu said.

On June 26-27, the head of Moldovan diplomacy paid a working visit to Luxembourg.
