Chisinau, June 30. /MOLDPRES/- Managers of the blocks together with their tenants will determine together how to distribute the costs for the energy consumed in the common areas. The changes concern apartments disconnected from the centralized heating system and were presented today by Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov at a press conference.
The official noted that in 2011 it was decided that those who disconnected from the centralized heating system should contribute to the heating of common areas and an average percentage was established for tenants. At the same time, in 2022 the Constitutional Court found that the provision is unconstitutional and it is not correct to have an equivalent payment percentage for all tenants and a more equitable distribution methodology is needed.
The rates for basements and technical floors have been adjusted in the new methodology. At the same time, by Government decision, operators of electricity, heat and natural gas will be required to exchange data on household consumption. The documents are to be submitted to public consultations.
