Chisinau International Airport resumes work as normal

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The arrivals hall of the Chisinau International Airport was reopened for passengers today morning and the Airport works as normal at present.

According to the Airport’s administration, the flights are made according to the schedule announced by the air companies.

On 30 June evening, decision-makers informed that the Chisinau International Airport would work in a special regime, till the finishing of the procedural measures carried out by law-enforcement bodies, in the context of the security incident occurred.

Two persons – a border policeman and an airport security employee, were shot dead by a foreign citizen at the Chisinau International Airport on 30 June, who had been banned from entering the country. Another person, passenger, was wounded and is cared by physicians.

Policemen annihilated the aggressor. He was wounded and receives medical care. The man who made the shots is a citizen of Tajikistan aged 43.
