Security measures boosted all over Moldova after incident at Chisinau Airport

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The security measures and the public order have been boosted all over Moldova, following the occurring of the security incident at the Chisinau International Airport. The head of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Viorel Cernauteanu, today made statements to this effect.
„All institutions in charge of the security and public order aspect have strengthened and fostered their actions as regards their tasks and all security measures in terms of public order have been consolidated, not only at the Airport, but on the entire territory of Moldova,’’ Cernauteanu said.
Two persons – a border policeman and an airport security employee, were shot dead by a foreign citizen at the Chisinau International Airport on 30 June, who had been banned from entering the country. Another person, passenger, was wounded and is cared by physicians.
