Moldovan electoral body to set date of general local elections tomorrow

Chisinau, July 3. /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) is to set the date of the general local elections tomorrow. The issue can be found on the meeting's agenda.

According to the CEC, the meeting is scheduled to start at 9:00.

The local elections should take place this autumn given that the last election was held in October 2019 and the mandate of local representatives is four years.

The day of the next election is to be approved by the Parliament. The electoral campaign will start 60 days before the election date.
