Man from Tajikistan, accused of double murder at Airport, received 30 days of preventive arrest

Chisinau, July 3. /MOLDPRES/- The man from Tajikistan, accused of the double murder at the Chisinau International Airport, received 30 days of preventive detention.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the decision was taken at the request of the Chisinau Prosecutor's Office.
"Furthermore, the General Prosecutor's Office is in touch with the Tajik authorities for the investigation of the case. The investigations are underway and the society is to be informed about the major developments, respecting the principle of confidentiality of the criminal investigation", a press release of the General Prosecutor's Office reads.
Two persons - a border policeman and an airport security employee died on the evening of Friday, June 30, at Chisinau International Airport, after they were shot by a foreign citizen, who was not allowed to enter the country. The accused was injured during his arrest. He is currently hospitalized and receiving medical care.
