Grosu referred to the political, financial and expert support that the EU states can offer. "We need the cohesion of the EU member states more than ever, because only with your support, Moldova and Ukraine can get closer to the free and prosperous world and can become more resistant to aggression, energy blackmail, propaganda", he said.
He pleaded for the strengthening of sectoral collaboration with the European Parliament. He referred, in particular, to the expertise on the platform of the parliamentary committees, so that the alignment with the community acquis is achieved as quickly as possible and in the most exemplary way.
In 2021, the Moldovan Parliament and the European Parliament signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions, agreeing to the Roadmap for the consolidation of democracy in Moldova. As a result, joint democracy support seminars were held between the European Parliament and the Chisinau Legislature, as well as discussions through Jean Monnet Dialogue for Peace and Democracy, to strengthen inter-party dialogue and create consensus. Also, the United for Moldova Network was created, which also includes MEPs, which aims to support our country and European aspirations.
