Moldovan PM talked to Florești mayors

Chisinau, July 6. /MOLDPRES/- The development of localities and the modernization of public services in the regions, as well as measures to speed up through joint effort the European integration were the issues discussed at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of local public authorities and devolved services from Florești district, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
In discussions with mayors, Recean reiterated that the strategic goal our country is integration into the family of European countries. He invited the local authorities to more actively use the opportunities for regional development, made available by the Government and the development partners of our country.
"The goal of integration into the European Union requires a lot of work, order and discipline in public authorities at all levels to generate more income, new jobs and provide security to citizens. We encourage business development and more initiative in accessing development projects and funds, including the European Village", Recean said.
Florești district mayors spoke about the problems faced by the localities, among which: the danger of flooding, created by the failure of the dam near Florești, unauthorized landfills, bureaucratic impediments in the land delimitation - public property, evaluation and revaluation of assets for taxation purposes.
Measures to boost investments in the regions, the debureaucratization of public services, as well as the need to review the process of providing social assistance, so that only truly vulnerable groups of citizens benefit from state support were discussed.
"Entrepreneurs want to have easy access to financing, not to be harassed by state institutions, and the authorities must support business development. Order and discipline means that the state works for the citizens: we create jobs, together with the private sector ensure good incomes and create security for tomorrow", Recean concluded.
