Moldovan PM talked to Western NIS Enterprise Fund representatives

Chisinau, July 11. /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean received a delegation of the Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF), led by Jaroslawa Johnson. WNISEF is one of the largest investment funds of the US Government in our country which, for the last 29 years, has financially supported digital innovations, startups and small and medium-sized businesses, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The officials discussed the constant involvement of the organization in the development of the national economy, by providing financial and technical support to enterprises in our country to develop the entrepreneurial spirit.

"Attracting investments, increasing productivity and economic recovery are the central goals of the government. IT sector is one of the most developed industries in our country, and the growth potential of a prosperous business in this field is high. Moreover, in the last year, a close collaboration was created between companies and universities, so that young specialists have the necessary skills when entering the workforce. We remain open and encourage foreign investors to develop businesses in our country in these and other fields", said Recean.

WNISEF members appreciated the actions in the digitization of services and noted the involvement of young people in businesses that generate new jobs. The Prime Minister also referred to the stimulation of economic growth and the entrepreneurial environment, through the financial support of investment projects and the expansion of businesses, including through the government program "373", recently launched by the Executive.

Western NIS Enterprise Fund was founded in 1994 to support the development of private companies in Ukraine and Moldova. So far, it has invested about 79 million dollars in 10 companies of Moldova.
