Government approved: Families of people who lost lives following Airport incident to get 1 million lei each

Chisinau, July 12. /MOLDPRES/- The families of the people who lost their lives following the incident on June 30, at the Chisinau International Airport, will receive a one-off aid of one million lei (50 thousand euros) each. The decision was taken today by the Government.

The money will be allocated from the Executive's reserve fund.

After approving the decision, Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that a meeting will be organized on Friday in the context of the incident at Chisinau International Airport, where "difficult but necessary decisions" will be made.

A border policeman and an airport security employee died on the evening of Friday, June 30, at the Chisinau International Airport, after being shot by a foreign citizen, who was not allowed to enter the country. The aggressor was injured during the detention, and a few days later he died in the hospital.
