Diaspora Congress to be organized on August 18-19

Chisinau, July 14. /MOLDPRES/- This year, the Diaspora Days will be marked by the organization of two key events: the Diaspora Congress - on August 18 and the Diaspora Business Forum - on August 19. They have the role of celebrating and highlighting the contribution of citizens settled abroad to the development of the country.
The Diaspora Congress takes place within the Diaspora Days and represents the necessary platform for multilateral discussions between the Government and the diaspora on diaspora policies, impact of migration on the economic, social, academic and political processes in the country.
"To discuss how we can help our citizens who are abroad to preserve our culture and traditions where they are, to preserve the love of the country, to continue to help the Republic of Moldova, on August 18-19, we are organizing the Diaspora Congress . It is a traditional event. This year we will discuss the services provided by the Government for our diaspora citizens, how we can help and develop better projects and programs so that diaspora citizens can continue to be involved in civic life at home", state secretary of the State Chancellery Adrian Bălutel said.
People who want to participate in the Diaspora Congress can register on the congresuldiasporei.gov.md portal, and find information about the event's agenda, participants and other technical details.
This year, for the first time, an Economic Forum will also be organized as part of Diaspora Days, which will be held on August 19. "The economic potential of the diaspora is enormous. We believe in the capacity of the diaspora to invest at home and we believe that every citizen of the diaspora is a promoter of Moldovan products abroad", said Băluțel.
The Diaspora Congress will culminate with a cultural show.
