Chisinau, July 17. /MOLDPRES/- The single programming document (DUP) for 2022-2024 was completed with the projects included in the European Express Village Program. The government decision was published in the Official Journal today.

The document includes the list of the 399 projects set in the Express European Village Program, for the implementation of which the amount of about 172.3 million lei (over 8.6 million euros) was allocated from the state budget, through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

Most of the projects aim at the rehabilitation of sports and social infrastructure - 192 in number, and another 70 local initiatives refer to the modernization of public lighting systems. For the rehabilitation of public buildings, 64 projects will be implemented, and 46 initiatives have been selected for the renovation of cultural centers. Also, energy efficiency projects will be carried out in 27 other localities, by installing energy production and supply systems, using renewable resources.

The European Village Express program is a continuation of the European Village Program, which includes 496 projects and investments of about 2 billion lei.

Thus, until 2024, 917 regional and local development projects will be implemented throughout the country - 496 within the European Village, 399 through the Express European Village and 22 projects for the construction and rehabilitation of nurseries.
