Moldova, Estonia to boost bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - The deepening of the bilateral cooperation with Estonia, Moldova’s European integration way and the regional situation have been among the subjects on the agenda of discussions between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Bucharest-based Ambassador of Estonia to Moldova Ingrid Kressel Vinciguerra, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
PM Dorin Recean appreciated the support provided to Moldova by the Estonian nation, including the development projects carried out in the country’s regions. He thanked for Estonia’s role in the firm backing of the European integration way, including through the exchange of experience and detaching of experts in priority sectors: justice, combating the misinformation and the hybrid threats. At the same time, the prime minister reiterated the need to boost the bilateral exchanges in the economic field, as well as to continue to take over Estonia’s experience in the digitalization sector, especially in terms of strengthening the quality of the public services and support for the business environment.
The officials referred also to the 16th Opera Festival from Saaremaa, due on 25-30 July. This year, Moldova will be represented by the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre and Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan will attend the Festival’s opening.
