Chisinau, July 26. /MOLDPRES/- Starting from August 3, the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova could be extended for another 60 days. Government approved a decision on the matter, based on the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations. The document is to be presented to the Parliament for approval, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The need to extend the state of emergency is determined by persistent risks and threats to national security, including the accidental overflight of airspace by drones and missiles.
The state of emergency will provide the Government with the necessary leverage to ensure peace, public and energy security, land and port communications of the country.
