New institution to be set up in Moldova to provide farmers with agricultural consulting services

Chisinau, July 26. /MOLDPRES/- Farmers will have access to agricultural advisory services and the economic performance of agricultural businesses will be improved. Government approved the creation of the Agricultural and Rural Counseling Center, through the reorganization of the public authority Methodical Center for Education, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The new institution will be responsible for the implementation of agricultural and rural advisory policies.
"The center will focus on the needs of farmers and will facilitate access to technical-economic, financial and managerial information. Also, farmers will benefit from training and rural development programs, and for this purpose, individual consultants will be contracted", Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea said.
About 400,000 dollars will be allocated to the establishment and operationalization of the Center - money obtained thanks to the loan agreement signed between the Republic of Moldova and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the implementation of the Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment Project.
