ANRE: Significant increase in Platts quotes continues to drive up fuel prices

Chisinau, July 28. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) notes an increase during July by about 140-145 dollars per ton in Platts quotes for oil products. This has decisively influenced the level of petrol and diesel prices, which continue to rise.

Thus, if at the beginning of this month, Platts quotations for diesel fuel were around 705-710 dollars/ton, currently they have increased to 850 dollars/ton, a level last recorded in March of this year. In the case of petrol, the quotations increased up to 945 dollars/ton, which corresponds to the level recorded in November last year.

"The oil products market strongly feels the latest decisions taken within OPEC+, especially those to reduce the production and export of oil by Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation", ANRE said.

For the next three days, ANRE has set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 25.41 lei per liter, an increase of 0.08 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold at a maximum of 21.33 lei per liter, up by 0.12 lei.
