Termoelectrica company's acting director resigns from office

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - The acting director of the Termoelectrica company, Vasile Leu, has submitted an application on resignation. The information was confirmed for MOLDPRES by Energy Minister Victor Parlicov.

Several days ago, Prime Minister Dorin Recean asked for resignations at Termoelectrica, after information on an alleged burial of quantities of crude oil had appeared in the public space.

Video pictures showing that Termoelectrica would have buried bad quality crude oil have been recently broadcast in the public space. As a result, the enterprises informed that an inquiry would be made in this case, in order to establish all circumstances of the incident and would subsequently publish the findings.

Vasile Leu was appointed acting director of Termoelectrica in late 2021.
