Moldova's National Army backs citizens from north Moldova hit by 25-26 July bad weather

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - Over 30 servicemen and seven vehicles of the National Army have intervened to support the public authorities to carry the assistance meant for the citizens hit by the bad weather from this month.

Thus, during 29-30 July, at a request by the local commissions for emergency situations, the military participated in the loading of construction materials from warehouses of the Material Reserves Agency of the Ocnita town and transported them to the Edinet district.

At the same time, servicemen of the Balti and Chisinau garrisons carried materials from the warehouse of the Material Reserves Agency from the Chisinau city to the Edinet district, in order to be distributed to people hit by the calamities.

The rains and the strong wind from the last days caused damages in more settlements from northern and central Moldova. Most damages were recorded in the districts of Edinet, Soroca, Donduseni, Rascani and Drochia.
