Chisinau, July 31. /MOLDPRES/- Over 31 thousand applications for online apostillation of documents were submitted in about three months after the launch of the new electronic service. About 27 thousand requests have already been executed. The Ministry of Justice presented the data today.
Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru requested the local authorities, including from Găgăuzia, to assist citizens who want to access the government's online document apostillation service, but do not have an electronic signature or do not have access to a computer.
"In order to be closer to the citizens, as well as to relieve them of the need to be present at the service counters in Chisinau and Balti, I ask mayors and city hall secretaries to provide support to citizens who do not have experience in using computers and /or do not have a valid electronic signature, when accessing the electronic document apostillation service. The digital transformation of public services is a way to provide faster, cheaper and better services. Effective cooperation and the involvement of the local public administration will allow reaching an increased level of dissemination of electronic public services, according to EU standards and objectives", the official said.
In early May, the Ministry of Justice, in partnership with the Electronic Government Agency, launched on a pilot basis the electronic apostillation service in a new version. Thus, any citizen, who has an electronic signature, can request this service at any time, from any corner of the world, by entering directly on the www.apostila.gov.md platform or by accessing the public services portal - www.servicii.gov.md.
